Pastel de Nata is an egg tart pastry, special to Portugal. Creamy inside and crispy outside, it is extremely delicious. While you are in Lisbon, the hot spot to taste Pastel de Nata is Pastéis de Belém.
A name of tradition since 1837, the patisserie calls the famous pastry by the name of Belém, “Pastel de Belém”. Given the established heritage, beware of long queues outside if you would like to take away. Yet, it is less of a waiting time if you prefer to sit down inside and enjoy a cup of coffee together with your pastry.
