3 Hip Spots in Athens to Go for a Frappé

Instant coffee gone cold, Frappé is the ultimate Greek tradition. Here’s a tiny list of great places in Athens to go for a glass of Frappé, in totally different attitudes.

Six D.O.G.S

Going down some stairs on an urban street with graffitis nearby the Monastiraki square, you find yourself in a completely different world in the heart of Athens. Six D.O.G.S is an outdoor bar with a beautiful garden full of trees and happy people.

Quite popular among the locals with its unique vibe, it also happens to be my favorite place for a glass of ice-cold Frappé. Six D.O.G.S is especially for you if you are bored of touristy places and looking for something different.

6-8 Avramiotou Street, Monastiraki, Athens, Greece
Open: 10:00 – 07:00

360 Cocktailbar

Quite the opposite, 360 Cocktailbar is the place where you hear less Greek language. Always full and reserved, it is also located nearby Monastiraki.

360, Athens,, Acropolis

On the roof of a hotel, 360 Degrees is more on the fancy side and it is all about the view. As pricey as it is compared to all the other places in Athens, the view is well worth it. Going there before sunset and leaving in the evening, you get a chance to combine your Frappé with a scene of Acropolis – lit and unlit. Of course, if you choose to do so, it’s definitely a great place to dine and wine, too.

Ifaistou 2, Athens, Greece

Yiasemi

Plaka is one of the most picturesque neighborhoods in Athens. Captured many times in Greek movies, it is always live and crowded. Yiasemi is located right on the famous stairs of Plaka and blends well into the beautiful atmosphere with its colorful and cozy decoration.

If you are lucky enough to find a spot for yourself, Yiasemi is absolutely perfect to enjoy some delicious coffee and observe the Greek way of living – life to its fullest. And, lots of desserts included on beautiful vintage plates.
